So the other day I found out that Hoxton Pony do free food every Thursday, I thought this was too good to be true so me and my friend thought we would pop down to see if the madness was true! Would you believe it the Hoxton Pony has 2-4-1 cocktails and FREE food ( I did a little dance on the inside) not only that but they have some wicked Dj’s Playing it was like they had taken my phone and started playing my music.
First things first the food! Anyone that knows me knows that I have an unconditional eternal love for chicken wings. And the Hoxton Pony had 2 different types of wings (They clearly know the way to my heart) this was accompanied by a veggie option of wild mushroom risotto or Chilli tacos, Cheese and crackers, Salmon, Coleslaw, Breads, Salad basically they had a bit of everything and something for everyone.
Chicken Wings & Tacos
The main reason I went to the Hoxton Pony was to see my old housemate we hadn’t seen each over for ages so it was nice to catch up. It feels like we are both always working! however hes working a little bit harder than me as he’s in the process of writing his third play – that’s write third! Its so nice to sit and talk with him a bout all the creative concepts he has for plays and how they apply to reality and how they are based on the things he has been exposed to.
As I don’t get to see him as often as I would like I know that all I have to do is check his Twitter or Instagram to be entertained and reminded of why he’s my friend.
The lovely James and our cocktails
The cocktails were great and as most of them were 2-4-1 we ended up staying for a couple of hours whilst we waited for my over friend so we could go on to an event ( This will be my next blog post) I can defiantly recommend the Banana Cove pictured above ( tall red one) despite the name it doesn’t actually taste like banana its more of a fresh taste a bit like a Berry Mojito!
I want you guys to hear the song of the evening I had it on repeat the day before so when I walked in and heard it playing I knew the Hoxton Pony was somewhere i would feel at home. Introducing J.Cole – Cole Summer
To Be Continued…
On Saturday me and a couple of friends went down to Canary Wharf where they had a free Jazz Festival going on!
I decided to take this as an opportunity for me to do an Outfit of the day or #OOTD as its known, its all well and good putting an outfit together ask any of my friends I get changed at least five times before I leave the house ( could be OCD ) but the thought of taking pictures/ having pictures taken of me makes me cringe to no end. I am the most awkward person when it comes to photographs, I have been ruining pictures since 1991 with this mug of mine. Also looking back I probably should have tidied my room but this is the price that comes with deciding what to wear and you need to leave at 3 and its half 3 -_-
So here it goes, a few snaps of the outfit I wore to the Canary Wharf Jazz Festival :
1. Long line Duster style blazer – ASOS
2. The Playsuit – Topshop
3. Belt – Similar Here
4. Shoe Boots – Topshop Similar here
Annnd back to the Jazz Festival…
It was such a good setting for a small gig, having a musical setting somewhere that people would usually associate with business fiance and work. It was kind of surreal to look up and realize where you actually are…
The first act we saw was not really my type of music but the last act was a Motown band and they were amazing with in seconds everyone was up dancing and singing along. As a young professional living in London it was nice to go to something that was a) Free b) Not just for the ‘edgy’ people.
I’m always on the look out for free music events so in the future I can to post them on here before event and you guys are in the know about whats going on around London.
Thanks for reading!

The problem with having a fashion/ clothing addiction is this – You CAN’T buy everything.
As much as I love shopping and clothes and fashion, I have learned the hard way that I cant buy everything I want so I have put together my payday wish list from Topshop.Of course I have gone for black with a hint of white I think it just looks sleek & fresh and its the perfect outfit to go from day to night! As well as being the perfect day to night outfit it is also versatile.
I can wear the jeans with pretty much everything! the top will look great with my pleated midi skirt ( Gypsy kinda look) the rings are essentials, because I wear a lot of black so I accessorize my outfits by wearing a bit of bling! The glasses are perfect for the summer sun and dare I say it the autumn sun that will soon be upon us. Leather jackets – no words needed its just goes with EVERYTHING same goes for the Leather bag you can never have too many black bags. And finally the shoes oh the shoes they are casual and classy and will look wicked with midi skirt, dress, tailored trousers the list is endless.
Casual, Classy & Chic
2. Jamie Jeans
5. Bag Similar Here
6. Leather Jacket
So there you have it my perfect payday splurge from Topshop no doubt I will have to purchase at least 1 or 2 of the items on this list.
What’s on your Payday Wish List?
My post today is short and sweet ( see what I did there) to give you some background; my friend came down from Manchester with her family, they spent the day doing touristy things whilst I was at work I met them when i finished and we ended up in Leicester Square. Now I don’t know if you’ve been to Leicester Square but it is tourist central! Anyway the whole reason we went was to go to the M&M store to get some personalised M&Ms… Now I have never eaten M&Ms so didn’t really care for the store much I’ve been in London for a whole year and never felt the urge to go in there, however me having the mental age of a 6 year old had a great time! I think we were in there for about 45 minutes – maybe longer who knows? Time flys when your having fun!
I still haven’t eaten any M&Ms but I learned two things during my visit at M&M world
1. It smells very strongly of Palmers Cocoa Butter
2. DONT pull the leaver to hard as M&Ms will pour out and go everywhere, the staff get a bit annoyed but after a while they get over it -_-
But here are a few snap shots of probably my first and last visit to M&M world :
Audio Lounge… what can i say about audio lounge?
Well what i can say is that i LOVE Audio Lounge.. after speaking to the creator/ owner of the venue it left me inspired! in fact every one that works there was an absolute pleasure to meet, anyway enough of me talking about how nice people are let me tell you about the actual event…
So every Saturday Audio Lounge hosts an intimate gig for upcoming and inspiring musicians, everyone is welcome to attend and you can nip in and out as you please, although you wont want to nip out as you are literally enthralled by the raw talent of the artists they have playing.
So first up was Nellie Bell an Australian singer song writer who moved to London to record her first album, her music was amazing I only managed to grab a couple minutes of two songs as the memory on my phone is awful and deleting old stuff is on my imaginary to do list. In addition I cant seem to upload the video on here so i will link to here is something recent I found of her on YouTube. As you can imagine seeing this live gives you goosebumps and shivers!
After Nellie Bell we had the wonderful Adam Wedd! fact about Adam he used to play with Ed Sheeran this had me ready for some serious guitar playing, he did not disappoint he sang beautifully in a husky manly kinda of way which is why when he handed out his EP ( for free) I was first in line! Again my memory on my darn phone failed me ( makes a mental note to finally buy a hard drive) so you will have to settle for a link to his website so you can get the full Adam Wedd Experience!
And finally you know that saying ‘all dogs look like their owners’ well at audio lounge I found the dog ( Puppy) that I should own and I fell in love with her!
And that was Audio Lounge, if you ever have the time on a Saturday afternoon and you’re wondering around Marble Arch take the time to visit as you’ll open your ears to a whole new world of talent…
I was lucky enough to attend the Converse #Consproject in Peckham on Thursday, I invited my friend from oxford to come with me as I knew she would love the concept. The aim of the event was to celebrate the end of their workshops, parties, talks and exhibitions created to enthuse the minds of creatives in London. I think the best way for you to get an idea of the event is to show you through pictures…
Once we finally got into the event ( The Q was huge) we headed straight to the bar standing in line is thirsty work! We each got a Rum and Coke and preceded to explore the venue.
The Bar was simply dressed with metal work, trainers and beer there was an inbuilt recording studio which was use for the music production workshops, room dedicated to photography and images of all those that had been involved in the events, workshops and master classes. Among these were some of Grimes* favorites Bashy, Kano and Dizzie Rascal.
Lets move on to the music! The music did not disappoint and we had the privilege of two stepping the night away whilst our ears were graced with the musical duo known as Mount Kimbie.
If you haven’t heard of them click here and have a little listen, once your done so you will understand how happy me and my friend were * cheesy grins all round* as we love a good beat!

And of course no night would be complete without a few selfies and a photo booth memento!
So there you have it a brief insight into our visit to the Cons-project Final Party!

*Grime is not garage
Grime is not jungle
Grime is not hip-hop and Grime is not ragga.
Grime is a mix between all of these with strong, hard hitting lyrics. It’s the inner city music scene of London.
And is also a lot to do with representing the place you live or have grown up in.
So this weekend was spent at home in Oxford or the Shire as I like to call it…
I love visiting the shire I get to see my family, friends and probably one of my favourite things to do is getting my nails done! Luckily for me my mum runs a hairdressers and nail salon so all my hair and nail whims are met when I go home, although looking at my hair you wouldn’t believe that my mums a hairdresser haha. I went for my usual dark vampy nails, I wear a lot of gold accessories and I think the contrast of the two go really nicely together.
Vampy Nails x Gold Watch
On Sunday I spent a ridiculous amount of time in TK Maxx with my mum buying homeware, I have just moved house for probably the 6th time this year so I needed to get a few bits and pieces as I’ve lost a lot of stuff during my numerous house moves! I have a serious thing for Buddhas and if I could I would probably have a room dedicated to them. TK Maxx had soo many in the end I got a purple one, not that it will go with anything but meh how many people can say they have a purple Buddha head?
Some of my favourite Buddha’s from TKMaxx
After a long day of shopping I decided it would be a great idea to have BBQ with a couple of my friends and my brother and his girlfriend. I made chicken wings which were apparently too spicy ( no such thing) Burgers Posh Hot Dogs from Marks and Sparks Burgers, red and yellow peppers, salad and a lot of condiments! Usually I would have taken a picture of the BBQ Banquet but I was too busy tending the BBQ but luckily my friends took a couple of me being a BBQ pro and eating my favorite Ice Cream with Bubblegum Sauce.
And finally, outfits of the weekend! My mum is my style inspiration and so she will feature on this blog a lot!
